ASCEND CURRICULUM – 2d EDITION
Ascend offers packaged curriculum written solely for the formerly incarcerated and/or those on probation, parole or AB109 supervision. It can also be used for anyone at risk of getting into the criminal system.
Curriculum Implementation and Application
The curriculum enables rehabilitation professionals to case manage, program and teach their clients coming out of prison or jail and/or clients on probation or parole.
The curriculum is ready for implementation once purchased meaning it is written to allow rehabilitation professionals to immediately begin teaching from it. It is a full package. It can be implemented in ways to allow professionals to use it to simply case manage, to run a program of nearly any length, run groups and/or supplement existing programming.
Curriculum Contents
The curriculum consists of: (1) lesson plans, (2) worksheets for students, (3) worksheet keys for teachers, (4) instructions for games/activities to help clients learn in a kinetic way, (5) five videos of us teaching the law that is connected directly to the law lesson plans in the curriculum, (6) graphs that go along with the law videos, (7) a teacher’s manual and (8) support from Christine and I regarding administration of the curriculum (meaning your folks can contact us with issues/questions/ideas).
Curriculum Packaging
The curriculum includes one packaged print copy of the bound lesson book, worksheet binder, bound teacher’s manual and student worksheet binder. It also includes the law videos, printed law graphs and an electronic copy of all of the printed material, videos and the license to use the material.
